Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillets skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour for coating
  • 2 large eggs beaten for dipping
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs for the crunch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha or more for extra spice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Method

  1. Step 1: Prep the Salmon
  2. Cut your salmon fillets into bite-sized 1-inch cubes. Pat them dry with paper towels so the coating sticks better.
  3. Step 2: Set Up the Breading Station
  4. Get three bowls ready: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Step 3: Coat the Salmon
  6. Dredge each salmon cube in flour first, dip it into the eggs, then roll it in the seasoned panko. Set aside on a plate until ready to fry.
  7. Step 4: Fry Until Crispy
  8. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, fry the salmon in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Step 5: Make the Sauce
  10. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until creamy and smooth.
  11. Step 6: Serve & Enjoy
  12. Drizzle the bang bang sauce over the salmon bites, sprinkle with sesame seeds or peanuts if you like, and enjoy right away.
